Welcome to The Nursery Librarian!
This is my place to promote a love of reading, and a love of learning for children. I hope to reach parents, teachers, and other librarians through this blog in order to share literacy activities for children, children's book reviews, and to highlight some interesting places and events in the history of books for children.
As a former teacher, a public librarian, and especially as a mother of three, I've learned that reading can not come into a person's life too soon. And learning does not suddenly start in preschool. Through simple activities and read-alouds an enjoyment of books, language, and learning is sparked and fostered, giving each and every child an opportunity for success in this world.
